Terms of Service

Welcome to Post. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Post mobile application ("App") operated by Post ("we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Post. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. We may terminate accounts that we believe belong to users under 13.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- You must provide a valid phone number to create an account. Each phone number may only be associated with one account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings screen. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
3. How Post Works
Post is a letter correspondence app. You write letters to other people, choose a delivery time, and the letter arrives after the chosen delay. Key behaviors:
- Letters are not instant messages. They are delivered on a schedule you choose.
- Letters cannot be edited after sending. You may recall a letter before it is delivered, subject to your plan's recall limits.
- Recalled letters are permanently deleted. The recipient will not see them.
- Delivered letters are final. Once a letter has been delivered and read, it cannot be recalled.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Post to:
- Send threatening, harassing, abusive, defamatory, or hateful content.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages or spam.
- Distribute illegal content, including but not limited to content that exploits minors.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or other users' experience.
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
5. Content Ownership
- Your content: You retain ownership of the letters and other content you create in Post. By sending a letter, you grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and deliver that content to the intended recipient.
- Our content: The Post app, its design, branding, icons, and interface are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission.
6. Letter Requests and Safety
- Letters from unknown senders are delivered to your Letter Requests, not your inbox.
- You may accept or decline any letter request. Declining deletes the letter without notifying the sender.
- If a user receives reports from multiple other users, their account may be automatically suspended pending review.
- You may block any user at any time. Blocked users cannot send you letters.
7. Subscriptions and Purchases
Post offers a free Basic plan and a paid Pro plan.
- Basic (free): Unlimited letters, 3 drafts, 5 recalls, 30-day delivery calendar.
- Pro (paid): Unlimited drafts, unlimited recalls, unlimited future delivery dating.
Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Payment, renewal, and cancellation are governed by Apple's terms. We do not process payments directly.
Prices may change. We will provide notice of price changes through the App before they take effect.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms.
- Your account is reported by multiple users for abuse.
- We are required to do so by law.
- We discontinue the App (with reasonable notice).
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through Settings. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers.
9. Disclaimers
Post is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be available at all times or without interruption.
- Letters will be delivered at the exact scheduled time (minor variations may occur).
- The App will be free from bugs or errors.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress.
Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law. You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action.
If arbitration is not enforceable in your jurisdiction, disputes will be resolved in the courts of the State of New Jersey, United States.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
